Note: Key plot points for the latest installment of the new season follow below.
The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled
Episode 3 concluded with a major cliffhanger and introduced the initial group of characters who will branch out from the primary party to begin their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team includes Teor Pridesire (played by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), Tyranny (the cast member), the cleric (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
Why Split the Party?
With an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at one table would be impossible.
Hence, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, weaving together the personal journeys before splitting into three smaller tables: Warriors, Schemers, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who are drawn to a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven narrative style where diplomatic options are rare.
At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might look out of place, but the events of the latest installment show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
To begin with, the party understands precisely where to go next after a brutal initial meeting with the antagonists.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose passing started the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and taking all the magical artifacts to sell off.
Casimir then settled his obligations and fled to a fortified location in the remote area, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd pursuing him.
Personal Motivations
Secondly, each character has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:
- Thimble, as the close ally and best friend, wants revenge.
- The knowledgeable figure knows the northern area and cautions that it is a dangerous place.
- Tyranny and Wicander, having resisted his house’s orders to kill the target and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
- But, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could assist the team reach areas they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, The fighter vowed a eternal obligation to The cleric for his salvation and will now go with him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the rulers that control Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making staying in the city dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
- The strong figure and The healer turned against the influential house and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- The target is targeted for elimination by the clan.
This leaves them few options but to head to the northern region in quest for the antagonist.

From the recent installment’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group will be absent next week, leaving the other eight cast members to form the Explorers and Schemers groups.
